Thanks for finishing this SLJ activity, 'Bird of the Year!' and for picking a bird from the Bird of the Year website. I'm glad to see a student pick a bird that is different to a Tui or a Kereru, but why exactly did you choose the Black-fronted Tern? It's cool to learn that the Black-fronted Terns habitat is on the eastern side of the South Island. I had to look at what they eat so that I could show you: https://teara.govt.nz/en/gulls-terns-and-skuas/page-3 Apparently they eat grubs, worms, mayflies, stoneflies, skinks and small fish. How big do you think this bird is?
