SLJ Activity 2: The Plastic Pledge

I think it is good that countdown has stopped using plastic bags because they are helping the great pacific garbage patch to not litter.  They are making a good choice so people can reuse there countdown bag.

I had to write if countdown is making good choices by banning plastic bags

  1. Hi Mehakpreet,
I totally agree that it is great that countdown stopped using plastic bags. Do you know that New world is stopping using them too? do you use reusable bags? even if you're not go to countdown cause I know I do.

    Keep on the great blogging

  2. Kia Ora Mehakpreet!

Well done for completing this Summer Learning Journey activity, 'The Plastic Pledge' and for telling us what you think about Countdown's decision to stop using plastic bags. I'm thrilled to see that you know what the Great Pacific Garbage Patch is! You're absolutely right, too. Because these single-use plastic bags are no longer in use, there's less plastic going in to the ocean and ending up in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. How are your family dealing with the issue? Do they have re-usable bags?
I really LOVE the use of colour on this post, and especially that you've used the same colour scheme as the Countdown logo- well done!

Keep up the great work :)

    Cheers,

    Jordan
