Dear Armika (My best friend)
I just cam back from Tundra and I just wanted to tell you about it starting with arriving there on a plane
So we traveled by plane and it was exhausting I could barely sleep or eat, I wished I had just teleport ed there but sadly there is no such thing until the scientists had invented something like that.
When we arrived it was really cold we went to have a look around and I saw lots and lots of snow and ice. The pond was nearly frozen but thank goodness the sun was coming out a little bit and the ice was melting. If that was a pool I would have been frozen by now.
Then we started setting up tents but when I went inside it was cold but a bit warmer then outside at least.
Then we went back to school and every was exhasusted
From Mehakpreet
We had to write a letter to your family member or friend I wrote it to my best friend Armika here is a link to her blog LINK and I had to write about if I went to a trip to Tundra
Hey Mehakpreet,
ReplyDeleteThanks for another great SLJ related blog post— what a lengthy letter you have here! I'm pleased to see you writing to Armika, I wonder if they will respond to this post, too?
Good to see you including how you arrived at the Tundra in saying that you "travelled by plane"— also good to see some humour in there, too. Wouldn't it have been cool had you have teleported to the Tundra? Just being able to teleport anywhere would be such an amazing asset. I can imagine that everyone would have been exhausted after such a long trip, especially from the cold.
Well done, too, for adding a link to Armika's blog— I hope that they see this letter!
Keep up the great work, Mehakpreet.
Cheers
Jordan
Kia ora Mehakpreet,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Georgia and I am the Cluster Manger for Kaikohekohe (Northland) schools. Jordan recently shared with me your awesome work and so I thought I would pop on and check it out.
I really enjoyed reading your letter to Armika. You have used some great descriptive words and helped to paint a very vivid picture of your trip to the Tundra. Can you think of any activities you'd like to do in the Tundra that you may not have the opportunity to do in New Zealand?
I would love to learn to ski and make snow angels, however, would have to make sure I wore lots of layers so I wouldn't freeze!
I hope you have a Merry Christmas Mehakpreet and enjoy completing more activities from the Summer Learning Journey.
Nga mihi,
Georgia
