Summer learning journey flanders feild

I feel sad and lucky and at the same time confused I feel sad because people died in the world war and I feel lucky because they people who went to war they are saving us from bad people and I am feeling confuse because why would people want to just go to world war when it is really dangerous I also they want everyone to be safe but why would they go and get there self in danger.

I wrote about Anzac day and colored it in red for the poppy's and green for the grass.

  1. Kia Ora Mehakpreet,

Thank you for completing this activity, I really appreciate that you've read the poem "In Flanders Fields" and that you've responded to how it made you feel. I also really love that you've taken Cadence's challenge of making your blog posts aesthetically pleasing by changing the colour of your font to suit the theme, and also adding a picture. Well done Mehakpreet!

It is sad that our people had to go to fight in the war, but sometimes (especially back then), it's not so easy to refuse to go. It was a compulsory thing for men back then who were well enough to defend our country, as well as support our allied countries.
Ideally war should never happen, I agree! We should all strive for world peace!

Keep up the great work and I look forward to reading more of your blog posts.

    Cheers,

    Jordan.

  2. Hello Mehakpreet,

What a beautiful blog post! The picture grabbed my attention immediately and I knew exactly what this post would be about! Fantastic!

That is a great would to use, “confused”. I completely understand why you would feel that way. I’m curious, were there any words in the Flanders Field poem that you did not understand? There are some very old fashioned words so maybe you could google or look up in the dictionary what these words mean.
    - larks
    - quarrel
    - dawn
    - scarce
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Cadence :)

  3. I like how you feel about this poem, I feel the same. War is not good, why can't people be nice. Maybe you could find out about poppies?
