I have played a poi Toa before at school and we also make them with plastic bags and ropes we did not use them but we could take them home and play with them and I also made a poi Toa at home.
I wrote about what Maori game I have played and I have played the game poi Toa.
Mōrena Mehakpreet,
ReplyDeleteThank you for tell us which Māori game you love to play; Poi Toa is one that I know rather well, but isn't a common game I'm seeing being liked by other students across New Zealand. So well done for breaking from the mould and picking these wonderful game! Did you know that Poi literally translates in to English "to toss up/down/about".
I wonder what Toa means? Maybe you can add a picture to this post too Mehakpreet, something to keep your awesome words company!
Keep up the great mahi,
Cheers,
Jordan
Good morning Mehakpreet!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Mehakpreet, I would love to see some photos or an example of how to play. Maybe you could include something about how you and your friends play. Could you tell us some of the rules and how to play? I’m very curious to know.
I’m a teacher so I’m always looking for more games to play with my students :) Do you think my class would enjoy playing?
Looking forward to reading more of your posts!
Cadence :)
