  1. Kia ora Mehakpreet,

My name is Laura and I work for the Summer Learning Journey. In fact, I wrote the activities for the Summer Learning Journey, so I particularly appreciate your feedback about what you thought was good or not so good about the activities this year. I will definitely learn from this!

Congratulations on completing the whole Summer Learning Journey! You have done fabulously well! I know you also did well last year too.

I learned so many things while writing these activities for you to do. I had to do a lot of research. Do you like researching and learning about things? I really do!

I'm going to go and read a few more of your blog posts now!

Thanks for doing the programme and I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

    Best wishes,
    Laura

  3. Hey Mehakpreet,

Absolutely awesome to see that you have completed all the SLJ tasks for 2019-2020. Huge congratulations for finishing so quickly. I'm glad to see you've really enjoyed the activities, learned lots and are ready for more of a challenge.

I know there are year 7's and 8's from Papakura doing the SLJ this year but I guess you'll have to wait and see. I'm really looking forward to read through your posts especially the book cover one now. Have a great holidays and I'll see you in the comments.

  4. Kia ora Mehakpreet!

Congratulations for finishing the programme - although I had no doubt in my mind that you wouldn't! You've been such a great purveyor for this programme within Kootuitui ki Papakura and I'm really grateful that you've been such an active participant for these past 3 summers.

I'm pleased to read that you learned quite a bit through this programme, especially about Amelia Earhart and Jean Batten - they're really inspiring aren't they, even if one did die a tragic death.
Perhaps next year we can have you as a student blog volunteer so that you're still involved in the programme? We will have to see how it all goes!

All the best with Intermediate, I'm sure you will be a huge success no matter where your path takes you.

Thanks again for all that you've done for this programme.

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Jordan
