I think that there should be more programs and functions for kids during the holidays. I think that we could have more programs like summer learning journey, we could also have more physical stuff like free functions outside with rides, sports, learning stuff and lots more.
What would be the benefit,
The benefit would be that maybe the thieves which are out there could be attending the function and there could be some cops explaining on the stage, why you should not rob and do bad things and that might change their mind about doing bad stuff. They should also have some entertainment in the show like some drama in it. This could also help the kids/children to not stay curled up in bed watching TV and eating snacks all day.
Why the programs would help,
Because normally during the school holidays you forget everything you learnt and go back to school and think I have no clue what the teacher is saying. So we should have a website with learning in it but also some entertainment and we could have a certain time limit to finish our tasks.
So that's why we should have programs and functions.

For SLJ we had to write a letter to Jasinda Ardern of an
issue and how she can change it. My issue was about students stuck
inside in the holidays.

ReplyDeleteWell I'm certainly glad you've been really productive (and are still being productive) during your holidays but it is good to have a break between the school years and for longer times to spend with your family. I'm honoured that you've enjoyed the SLJ so much and want to recommend similar things to the Prime Minister. I think lots of your ideas sound really good, especially going out and doing something fun and physically energising.
Lots of places actually do holidays programs like what you're describing and you could probably find one that does a bit of drama and education as well. I often help run a church holiday program with lots of games and teaching time but that's during the break between the school terms. I hope you enjoy the rest of your holidays.
