I choose the Maya people and AINU: Indigenous People in Japan
Maya people:
1.They speak more that 30 Mayan languages
2.They have a relationship with corn, family and respect for elders
3. They have a building which points to the sun, stars and moon
AINU: Indigenous People in Japan
1.They think culture and language is really important
2.People were forced to speak Japanese
3.They have to have language classes every week
For SLJ we had to say 2 facts about 2 groups that we choose and there should be 4 facts in total but I thought we had to do 3 facts so now I have 6 facts in total.
Hey Mehakpreet,
ReplyDeleteThese are some great facts from the 2 cultures. I'm so glad that both others and these people groups are learning and sharing more about themselves so that there history and traditions will live on. Did you find this activity interesting? I think my favourite fact you have here is to learn that the Ainu people are taking language classes so they know there language and keep it alive. Great stuff Mehakpreet. See you in the comments.
Daniel :)
