Balance structure

Last week we made a structure which had to look impossible to balance and me and Armika tried to balance everything on one block and it was a success we had some upside downs but apart from that we were pretty happy about it.  I learnt that we had place the one block in like the middle of the big block.  It was really awesome and fun but first we were on a table but we realized the table sometimes moves so we moved onto the mat with a white board.  Armika's blog

Italy

This week we picked a topic we were interested in and I picked Italy because my mums sister lives there but I have never been so I want to know more about it.  I learnt that there is so much cool places there.  I also learnt that Italy can be a bit expensive sometimes.

Makey makey

For steam we had to make a word wall with a makey makey kit so basically a word wall is that we have to use this cool app called Scratch to make it say the word we wrote on paper.  But to make that word work we need something that will connect to the wires which are called alligator clips.  Then we just press the buttons on the paper and it makes it say the word we wrote down.  It was hard work but it is really fun.  I learnt how to make a word wall on paper which was confusing at first.

Reading week 3 term 2

This is my reading for the week it was pretty challenging but it got easier as we do it.  I learnt that they did a survey in New Zealand for how much people are happy and how much are upset and stuff.  We also did some comparing with 2 articles.  I also like how we get to respond how the question were like were they easy,medium and hard but I think they were just right.

Maths week 3 term 2

For week three term 2 are topic is balance so we made these triangle blocks and are challenge was to balance and make multiplication with them and more stuff.  I think it was pretty easy but the most challenging thing was making the blocks but it got easy.  I learnt how to get a easier way of making a reflection instead of rotating, but rotating is pretty fun as well.    

Marble run

For topic we had to make the slowest marble run but if your wondering what is a marble run? it is basically just a structure with ramps and spirals and a marble rides on it. It is really fun and interesting it takes a lot of testing and time. I learnt that we should make the ramps longer so the marble will take longer to ride the ramp.

Solving division problems

I learnt that how to solve long division problems in a easier way.  But I think was to easy for me because I learnt this from my dad last year but I like going back to the stuff I learnt but I learnt a new strategy.  

Tuesday Response

For the response we had some questions for the books and we need to say if they were easy,medium or hard.  I learnt that for the questions we have to be a fast reader so we have enough time to do the question and if there is a task have time to do the task.  So I try to do most of the work at home so I am not behind in anything.

Wednesday reading term 2 Week 1

This is reading for Wednesday and we had to read and reflect.  I learnt what is a underwater Rena it is a broken ship which sank and they left it there which was skeptical for me.  We had to reflect on the three story's we read on Thursday and before Thursday.  I think it was really fun and interesting so I enjoyed it.
